Engage Youth Mentoring

LCSWT's mentoring project, Engage continues to go from strength to strength. It currently has 25 trained volunteer mentors working within ten of the local area's primary and secondary schools.

So far this year we have begun partnering with a further two new schools, St Joseph and St Theresa in Burntwood, where we are currently doing a Transition Talk for them as we wait to allocate mentors for them, and Streethay Primary School, where we have a mentor starting there in the new academic year.

Meanwhile, Flavia has been invited to do a presentation at the Lichfield and Burntwood SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Hubs, both for Primary and Secondary schools. In addition Engage has seven schools so far booked for the delivery of Transition Talks next semester.

Farewell and Best Wishes to Tina Cadwallader

We are sorry to hear that Tina Cadwallader, (our Engage project manager for a number of years now), will be stepping down in the next few months from her role. She will be moving on to a new job opportunity, and though we will miss the passion, dedication and professionalism she has brought to the charity, we all want to wish her every happiness and success in her new position.
